We take the entire book
We do not cherry-pick the easy balances. Aged, disputed, low-value and set-off-affected accounts all go in one transaction. You do not need to resolve disputes or reconcile the ledger before you sell.
For Insolvency Practitioners
Working a ledger account by account takes time and prolongs the administration. We take an assignment of the entire book and pursue every debtor with the resource the whole book needs. Where the merits justify it, we litigate. You get a known figure for your progress report and the collection risk passes to us.
Uncollected debtors are rarely worthless. They go unrecovered because working every account properly, including court action where it is needed, costs more time and money than the case can bear.
We do not cherry-pick the easy balances. Aged, disputed, low-value and set-off-affected accounts all go in one transaction. You do not need to resolve disputes or reconcile the ledger before you sell.
A dedicated collections team with tracing, legal and systems capacity contacts every debtor from the first week. Collection is our core business, not a side task for your case team.
On a commission basis, the cost of proceedings on mid-sized or disputed balances is hard to justify against a share of the recovery. Because we own the debt, we can issue proceedings wherever the merits support it.
From assignment, the debts are ours. Every demand, trace, dispute and court action is taken in our name, at our cost and at our risk, including any costs arising from how we conduct those claims. None of it comes back to the administration.
Rather than waiting months for the ledger to be collected, the administration receives its realisation at the outset, when funds matter most. That money is available to meet the costs of the case and supports an earlier distribution.
Every offer includes a short valuation note. It sets out how we priced the book and how the outcome compares with collecting in-house or on a commission basis. The note supports both your decision to sell and your progress report.
The same ledger, three ways to realise it.
There are two structures, and both take an assignment of the whole book. After reviewing the ledger we recommend one, or quote both so you can compare.
Option 1
Best for: certainty and a prompt closure.
We buy the book for a fixed price, confirmed after document review. Payment goes in cleared funds to your account on or before completion. The administration has nothing further to do, and you can move to closure.
Option 2
Best for: books whose value is hard to fix today.
The debts are assigned to us with nothing paid up front. We fund all collection and legal work and pay the administration an agreed share of recoveries every month, typically up to 50%.
Three situations where selling the book outperforms collecting it.
Book debts are usually excluded from an administration sale. They are either collected by the buyer on commission or left with a case team that has no staff to work them. We take the whole ledger in one transaction.
Creditors' voluntary, compulsory and members' voluntary liquidation ledgers, typically 60 days old or more. They often come with incomplete records, contra balances and disputes raised in the run-up to appointment. We price those issues in, so you do not have to resolve them first.
School closures have risen sharply since VAT was applied to fees, and each one leaves a ledger of unpaid fees owed by parents. School fee recovery is our specialism. We know the contracts and terms, and we deal with families to the conduct standards the sector expects.
Four steps, built around the way a case administrator already puts together a disposal file. There is no system integration and no onboarding period.
Send the debtor listing (CSV or XLSX), your notice of appointment, and whatever invoices, contracts and statements you hold. Any format is fine, whatever its condition.
For most books this comes within 48 hours, with a short valuation note explaining how we priced it.
We sign your standard terms or you sign ours. We prepare the deed of assignment and cover the legal costs on standard-sized transactions.
Cleared funds go to your account on or before completion. We give notice of the assignment to each debtor and handle everything from that point. You receive one closing note for your file.
Speak directly to the people who will handle your instruction. Every listing or enquiry reaches the desk and gets a response the same working day.
Send us the debtor listing and we will come back with an indicative range within 48 hours. If the book is not a fit, we will tell you promptly and explain why.
